The Stallion’s Stable of Thoughts and Experiences

Well, the weekend has ended and the first day of the work week has begun! Like most people, I’m not into the first day of the work week much cause everyone else in the office doesn’t feel like working! So instead of doing nothing I thought to myself I should put something up on my blog! The following is what I did this weekend!

Thursday

I woke up at 2 AM since I went to sleep at 8PM on Wednesday night due to extreme boredom! I stayed awake and I was supposed to meet a friend at 11AM to show him the garage I take my Land Cruiser to! He sent me a txt msg at 10:45 saying that he was going to shower and come over! When does he finally arrive? 11:45! 45 minutes later than the time he set for us to meet! P

I drove my Land Cruiser and he followed me in his! Everything was OK till we reached the intersection of 4th Ring Road and Riyath Interstate (the highway between Yarmouk and Qurtoba)! Once we got there the 1st down pour of the day occurred! Due to the huge size of our cars we had a blast driving in the some-what terenchal down pour until we got to the Garage when the rain suddenly stopped!

Once I dropped off my Land Cruiser for a scheduled maintenance, my friend and I decided to go to The Avenues since we haven’t been there yet! We got there and we walked around until we hit Fridays where we started to get hungry! We sat down ordered food and just before we finished eating the 2nd rain fall started! When the rain ended I noticed that a few people in Fridays moved to sit somewhere else and I didn’t know why! Then I saw droplets of water fall on where they were sitting! Seems like The Avenues structural integrity isn’t that good! The glass roof by Fridays was leaking! My friend and I laughed it off then decided to walk to the car! To our surprise, the whole mall had places where water was leaking from the glass roofs and from the regular roofs! I felt bad for some of the stores since they had water leaks in the store itself! I recorder 2 more movies but it turns out that they were not saved! I was mad when I found out the 2 videos that were recorded did not save! Why? The 3rd recording was of a hallway at the Avenues that had the most water and it was on the top floor! The Kuwaiti security was informing people not to cross but people weren’t listening! A group of what looked like construction workers (2 of whom were holding hard hats) were trying to cross the huge puddle when all of a sudden one of the workers kicks the security! Since the Security guy was wearing the national attire he took is head dress off and used the Agal (3gal) to hit the worker with it! I had all that on video but it wasn’t saved! The other video that wasn’t saved was of 6 workers mopping the floor on the top floor close to Phase 2 of the Avenues since the amount of water that was there was soo large that 1 person couldn’t do the mopping and they had to resort to 6 of them!

After that I went home and relaxed for a bit before going to the Baseball fields to check out their closing ceremony and the distribution of awards! That was fun! Following that I went home and went to sleep!

Friday the 13th :

Walk up bright and early, got cleaned up and went to breakfast at 8:30 with a few friends! After that I went to the gahwa and watched an Egyptian movie or part of it before going into Marina for a bit! The people I usually meet up with in Marina weren’t there and so I headed home, picked up a few things and headed to a BBQ I was invited to! The weather was perfect for a BBQ! Stayed at the BBQ venue from noon till 10:30PM! I took a nap as well!
