Summer Vacation
Some if not most of you out there who are park of the employed labor are usually asked about your vacation for the summer! I have been asked about what, where and how long my summer vacation will be and when I answer most of the people at work tend to have a shocked look on their face! Why? The reason is that I tell them that I will not be taking a vacation this summer! I inform them that I will be working throughout the summer and if I need a break I will take 2 or 3 days off and add them to the 2 day weekend for a nice relaxing break! Most people will stop there and say ok, but others tend to be nosy and ask why so I tell them the obvious. Kuwait in the summer is HOT but the advantages are that the traffic decreases, work load at work decreases, and since I will be enjoying the beach and the Arabian Gulf with the piece of mind that most of the, no offense, new aged pirates (speed boaters and jet skiers) would be out of town!
So who’s with me by saying that staying in Kuwait for the summer can actually be lots of fun?

We are thinking of flying in from Amalfi to spend the Israa al miraj weekend holiday break in the Kuwaiti desert , more specifically, at the Kempinski Julia’a.

Different Strokes for Different Folks : Welcome to my blog! Correct me if I am wrong but you will be leaving Amalfi in Italy to come to Kuwait? I haven’t been to the Kempinski Julia`a but I have heard that it’s a nice place to spend a weekend!

You heard me correctly, mate! It’s always been the case of the grass appearing greener on the other side of the fence. People living in Austria and Switzerland ( and yes, even Amalfi) too need a change of scene every now and again. We had heard so much about the summer heat in Kuwait so we decided why not give Kuwait a try. For us Europeans, it cannot get anymore exotic than visiting a country neighboring the forbidden Kingdom.

Different Strokes for Different Folks : Well, I’m glad you chose Kuwait and I hope you have a good time! Glad to see that there are people out there who enjoy the heat as much as I do!
